Our Ancestor’s Home in Parfondeval, France

How would you like to spend a night in our ancestor’s home? Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Lévesque, who restored the house our ancestor Jean Trudelle was born in, you can now visit Parfondeval and spend a night or two in our ancestor’s house. In fact the Lévesques have transformed the house into a Bed & Breakfast.

On this page you will find a few “before and after” pictures as well as two short videos.

This “before” picture was graciously lent to Thérèse Trudel-Marceau by Mrs. Lévesque.

This is picture of our ancestor’s house taken after the renovations.

This is a picture of the large bedroom inside our ancestor’s house.

This is a picture of Thérèse Trudel-Marceau in front of our ancestor’s house. She thoroughly enjoyed her visit of our ancestor’s home and said that the Lévesques really “treated her like family”. (Unfortunately, the story does not tell us if Thérèse was asked to wash the dishes or not.)

The two videos were made by Céline (daughter of Louis) – a 10th generation Trudel. In the videos, you get a grand tour of the house our ancestor, Jean Trudelle, left in 1655 to settle in L’Ange Gardien. The videos were made on October 6th 2008.
